Dirk and Shealey’s Story
Going into this wedding, Dirk and Shealey wanted to enjoy their special day with their family and friends. From the coffee bar cocktail hour to special moments between the two of them, their main goal was to have photos that captured every detail of the day, big and small.
My favorite thing Shealey said to me during the planning was "I am wanting it to feel like the 2025 version of pride and PREJUDICE" and i was IMMEDIATELY excited. This couple was so sweet and it was so much fun to document this day for them.
Favorite Moments From the Day
Throughout the day, you could just see the love that Dirk and Shealey have for each other. The excitement before the first look, the joy after walking down the aisle, the living looks they shared during the reception, in every moment, they were so in love and excited for this next chapter in their lives. Two of my favorite moments of the day were watching Shealey and all her bridesmaids dancing to “Good Morning” by Mandisa while getting ready and when we snuck away during golden hour to get some portraits of the two of them together. Watching all the girls dancing around, laughing and singing just brought so much joy to the day. It was truly the epitome of girlhood. Whenever we snuck away to grab some golden hour photos, it was one of those moments when Dirk and Shealey were able to get away from the crazy and take in what happened. We also got to have some fun and be creative with the photos which was so fun!
